Does Anaconda run on Linux?

Verdict: Yes

Yes. Anaconda's own installation documentation lists Linux alongside Windows and macOS, so the Python and data science bundle installs on Linux directly.

Anaconda Distribution is a large bundle of Python plus hundreds of data science packages and the Anaconda Navigator window that lets you manage them without typing anything. Anaconda's getting started documentation lists three systems for it, Windows 11 or later, macOS 12.1 or later on Apple Silicon, and most Linux distributions.

There is one practical difference on Linux. Windows and Mac get a graphical installer you click through, while the Linux installer is a text-based one that runs in a terminal window. That is the one moment where Linux asks more of you than Windows did, and it is a short set of yes and no prompts rather than anything elaborate.

After that the experience matches. Navigator, Jupyter notebooks and the environments you created on Windows all behave the same, and a notebook file is a plain file that opens on either system. If you exported an environment description on the Windows machine, Anaconda can rebuild the same environment on Linux from it.
