Does Arc Browser run on Linux?

Verdict: No

No. Arc is offered for Windows, Mac and iPhone only, with no Linux version, and The Browser Company has stopped adding features to it in favour of a newer browser called Dia.

Arc Browser by The Browser Company · Web browsers · No way to run it

Arc's own download page lists Windows 10 and later, macOS 13 and later, and iPhone. Linux is not on the list and never has been. There is no installer to fetch and no compatibility route worth recommending, because a modern browser is exactly the kind of program that behaves badly under Wine.

The bigger point is what the download page now says about Arc itself. The Browser Company notes that Arc receives Chromium updates only and points people towards its newer browser, Dia, for active security work. Arc is being kept alive rather than developed, so this is a good moment to move regardless of which system you are on.

If what you liked about Arc was the sidebar, spaces and heavy keyboard control, Vivaldi is the closest thing on Linux. It puts tabs down the side, groups them, splits the window and lets you rearrange almost everything.

Your bookmarks are the only thing to carry across. Export them from Arc on Windows to an HTML file before you wipe the machine, and import that file into whichever browser you land on.

This doesn't have to stop you

One stubborn program doesn't have to decide the whole question. You can keep Windows on the same PC and restart into it only when you need Arc Browser. Everything else you do can move.
