Does Canva run on Linux?

Verdict: Yes

Yes. Canva is a website, so it works on Linux in Chrome, Firefox or Edge exactly as it does on Windows. There is no Linux desktop app, but you do not need one. Your designs and subscription carry over untouched.

Canva is not really a program you install. The Windows and Mac apps are wrappers around the same website, and all your work lives in your Canva account rather than on your computer. Open canva.com in a browser on Linux, sign in, and everything is where you left it.

Canva lists Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and Opera as supported browsers. Chrome, Firefox and Edge all have proper Linux versions, so you have a choice. Canva's own technical requirements page is written around browsers rather than operating systems, which is the clearest sign that the browser is the product.

The only thing you lose is the desktop app itself. Canva offers apps for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and Chromebook, and there is no Linux one. In practice that means no desktop shortcut unless you make one, and fonts installed on your computer are not available the way they are in the desktop app.

Nothing happens to your designs, your folders or your Canva Pro subscription. They are tied to your account, not to the machine.
