No. Celsys makes Clip Studio Paint for Windows, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android, Galaxy and Chromebook, but not Linux. Krita is the closest free replacement for drawing and comics.
Clip Studio Paint by Celsys · Photos & graphics · No way to run it
Celsys lists the supported systems plainly and Linux is not among them. There is no browser version either, so
there is no side door the way there is with Office or Canva.
Krita is where most Clip Studio users land. It is free, it is built for drawing and painting rather than photo
editing, and it has a serious brush engine, layers, animation frames and comic panel tools. The gap shows in the
comic-specific extras. Clip Studio's 3D reference models, its huge asset shop and its panel and speech balloon
tools are more polished than anything free.
Your brushes and 3D models do not come across. Clip Studio's own .clip files open in nothing else. Before you leave
Windows, open each project and export it as a layered PSD, which Krita reads, plus a flattened PNG for safety.
If you pay monthly for Clip Studio, cancel the plan once you have exported your work, because there is nothing on
a Linux machine that can use it.
Free, built for digital painting and comics, with layers, masks, brush stabilisers and simple frame-by-frame animation. Missing the 3D posing models and the asset store.
Your files: Cannot open .clip. Opens layered PSD, so export from Clip Studio as PSD before switching.
Better at photo work and cut-outs than at drawing. Worth having alongside Krita rather than instead of it.
Your files: Cannot open .clip. Opens PSD, PNG, TIFF and JPEG.
This doesn't have to stop you
One stubborn program doesn't have to decide the whole question. You can keep Windows on the same PC and restart into it only when you need Clip Studio Paint. Everything else you do can move.
