Partly. There is no Visio to install on Linux, but Visio for the web runs in Firefox or Chrome on a paid plan, and LibreOffice Draw opens your existing .vsd and .vsdx files for free.
Microsoft Visio by Microsoft · Design, CAD & 3D · Works in a browser
The Visio desktop program is Windows only. Microsoft has never released it for Mac or Linux.
Visio for the web is the official route. It runs in current Edge, Firefox, Chrome and Safari, so it works on a
Linux machine the same as any other, and it handles flowcharts, organisation charts, network diagrams and UML.
It needs a paid plan. Microsoft 365 business subscriptions cover basic diagrams, and anything beyond that needs
a separate Visio Plan 1 or Plan 2 licence. The web version also leaves out a long list of the heavier diagram
types, including floor plans, Gantt charts, timelines and value-stream maps, and data linking only exists in
the Windows app.
For free, LibreOffice Draw opens Visio files, including .vsd, .vsdx and .vsdm. It is already installed on most
Linux systems. Expect a readable diagram with some shapes and connector styling shifted, and note that it
cannot save back into Visio format, only to PDF or its own format.
If your work depends on Visio's stencil libraries and data-linked diagrams, this is one of the harder programs
to leave. Check whether a Visio Plan 1 subscription and a browser covers what you actually draw before you
commit.
