Insync
Drop-in replacementPaidPaid, one-off licence per account. Gives OneDrive a real syncing folder on Linux, which is the only way to keep your existing account and habits.
Your files: Syncs your existing OneDrive contents unchanged.
Verdict: Partly
Partly. Microsoft does not make a OneDrive sync program for Linux, so your files will not appear in a folder automatically, but you can reach all of them through a browser at onedrive.com.
Microsoft's published system requirements for the OneDrive sync app list Windows and macOS only. Linux is not mentioned. That means the part people rely on most, the folder that quietly keeps itself up to date, is missing.
Through a browser you can see every file, upload, download, share links and restore old versions. That is fine for occasional use and it is the route that needs no setup. The gap is offline work and the automatic backup of your Desktop and Documents folders.
If you want a folder that syncs, the honest options are a different service or a third-party tool. Nextcloud is the closest thing to a OneDrive replacement you can run yourself or rent cheaply, and it has a proper Linux app with the same folder behaviour. Dropbox has an official Linux app if you simply want something that works today. Insync is paid software that adds a real syncing folder for OneDrive and Google Drive accounts, which is the only tidy way to keep using OneDrive itself.
Your files are safe either way. Nothing is deleted when you stop syncing on Windows, and the browser view shows the same contents, so you can download a copy at your own pace.

Your files: You upload your files once. Office documents open fine in LibreOffice or ONLYOFFICE afterwards.
Different company, but it does have an official Linux app, so the syncing folder simply works.
Your files: Files copy across unchanged.
Free and keeps folders matched between your own devices with no cloud account at all. There is no website copy of your files, so pair it with a backup.
