Postman
The same Postman you used on Windows, with official Linux builds from Postman for 64-bit and ARM machines.
Our verdict
Postman on Linux is the same program you already know. Postman publish the Linux build themselves, in 64-bit and ARM versions, so nothing has to be worked around. Sign in and your collections, environments and request history appear as they were.
The install Postman recommend is the Snap, because it carries the extra pieces the app needs rather than relying on what your system happens to have. There is also a plain download from Postman's site.
Two things worth knowing. The Flathub listing is community made and Postman say it is not theirs, so prefer the Snap or the download from postman.com. And this is a paid product with a free tier, not free software, so a growing team will run into the limits eventually.
What's good
- Postman make the Linux build themselves, so it is the real app and not a stand-in
- Signing in brings your collections, environments and history across from Windows
- The free tier covers everyday personal use
- Builds for both normal 64-bit machines and ARM ones
What to know first
- Not open source, and the free tier has limits that push teams onto a paid plan
- Much of it leans on being signed in and syncing through Postman's servers
- The Flathub package is put together by volunteers rather than by Postman
