Verdict: Yes
Yes. Google publish Android Studio for Linux on the same download page as the Windows version, and it is the same tool with the same features.
Google list a Linux download next to the Windows and Mac ones. It is the current release, not an older or cut-down build, and your existing projects open with nothing to convert.
The download is a compressed archive rather than an installer. You extract it into a folder and run the program from inside, which is a small difference from the Windows installer but nothing more. There is also a listing in the Linux app store from Flathub, which is easier but is put together by volunteers rather than by Google.
Everything else behaves. The emulator runs, phones connect over USB, the plugin marketplace works and your keyboard shortcuts are unchanged. Sign in to sync your settings if you used that on Windows.
Give it room. Android Studio is large and wants plenty of memory and disk space, the same as it did on Windows.

JetBrains' installer can keep Android Studio and the other JetBrains tools up to date for you if you already use it.
Your files: Manages the install only, so your projects are untouched.
