Verdict: Yes
Yes. Opera publishes Linux versions on its own download page, as a .deb file, a .rpm file and a Snap Store version. Opera GX is there too.
Opera makes the Linux build itself, so this is not a case of relying on someone else's packaging. The download page offers a .deb installer for Ubuntu and Mint style systems, a .rpm for Fedora style systems, and a Snap Store listing. Opera GX, the gaming flavour, has the same options plus a Flathub listing.
Everything you use comes across. Sign in to your Opera account and bookmarks, saved passwords, settings and open tabs arrive. The built-in ad blocker, the free VPN and the sidebar messengers are all part of the Linux version.
Netflix and other streaming services work in Opera on Linux, at up to 1080p rather than 4K.
There is also an Opera listing on Flathub, but it is put together by the community rather than by Opera, so take the download from opera.com if you want the one the company stands behind.
