Does Todoist run on Linux?

Verdict: Yes

Yes. Doist makes a Todoist app for Linux and offers it as a Snap or an AppImage, and everything also works in a browser if you would rather not install anything.

Todoist by Doist · Notes & PDFs · Has a Linux version

Todoist is one of the few subscription apps of its kind with a real Linux version. Doist's download page offers it from the Snap Store, which appears in the app store on Ubuntu and several other systems, and as an AppImage, which is a single file you download and run.

Once you sign in, everything is where you left it. Projects, labels, filters, shared projects, reminders and your Karma score all come from your account, so the Windows machine holds nothing you need to keep. A Premium or Business subscription covers every platform, so it keeps working with no change.

If you would rather not install anything, todoist.com in Firefox or Chrome gives you the same thing.

One alternative worth knowing about is Planify, a small free Linux app that signs into your Todoist account and keeps both sides matched. Some people prefer it because it looks more at home on a Linux desktop.
