Verdict: Partly
Partly. There is no Trello app for Linux, only Windows and Mac, but Trello is a website first and your boards work normally in Firefox or Chrome.
Atlassian lists Trello desktop apps for Mac and Windows on its platforms page. Linux is not among them and never has been.
Trello has always been a web product, though, and the desktop app is a wrapper around the same site. Open trello.com, sign in, and your boards, cards, attachments, Power-Ups and team members are exactly as before. Drag and drop works the same. Most browsers will also let you install Trello as its own window from the address bar menu, so it sits in your dock like a normal program.
Notifications are the one real difference. On Windows the app puts them in the notification tray. In a browser you get browser notifications instead, and only while the tab is open.
Nothing needs moving off the old PC and your paid plan is unaffected. If you want a boards-style task list stored on your own machine, Planify and a Nextcloud account together get close, though neither reads a Trello board.

The Deck feature gives you kanban boards on storage you or a provider run. Setting up an account is the extra work.
Your files: No direct Trello import. Attachments would need downloading from Trello first.
